What You’ll Do

We are seeking an experienced Finance Director to join our team and support Immervision's growth. The ideal candidate will be versatile, capable of being hands-on with all financial operations, and equally adept at managing daily tasks while contributing to the company’s long-term financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cash flow and maintain up-to-date treasury forecasts.

  • Mentor and oversee a member of the accounting team while collaborating with an external CFO on specific matters (audits, SR&ED claims, financing, etc.).

  • Research and prepare grant applications.

  • Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable and payable.

  • Ensure accurate bookkeeping.

  • Develop and implement cash flow management strategies and handle overdue accounts.

  • Prepare annual budgets and ensure regular tracking.

  • Support the leadership team with financial analysis and strategic decision-making.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders (banks, investors, board members, partners).

  • Assist with the preparation of SR&ED claims.

  • Participate in and facilitate annual review missions with external partners.

  • Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staffing requirements; identifying monetary resources; and creating actionable plans.

  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing variances.

  • Maximize return on investments by identifying opportunities and maintaining relationships within the investment community.

  • Oversee the company’s financial systems and recommend improvements as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.

Job requirements

Requirements

  • Fluency in both French and English is mandatory.

  • CPA designation is a significant asset.

  • 5–7 years of experience in a technology-focused SME.

  • Experience managing R&D tax credits.

  • Ability to assess cash flow inputs and present financial statements to external partners.

  • Strong team spirit and communication skills.
