Job Summary

As a VMI distributor, we purchase parts from suppliers, manage inventory, and ship products to customers. This role focuses on supply chain support for semiconductor products, particularly for automotive T1/T2 customers. You will be responsible for managing relationships with 5 key customers and 5 suppliers, handling around 20-50 line items per customer.

Responsibilities:
Order Processing:

  • Handle quotes, customer forecasts/orders (S/O), and book orders to suppliers (P/O) based on lead times

  • Manage order tracking, expediting, cancellations, invoicing, credit issues, RMAs, and problem resolution according to customer needs

Forecast Management:

  • Create and manage accurate spreadsheets with customer forecasts/orders and supplier forecasts/orders

  • Analyze product life cycles, customer production plans, and market information to maintain the supply chain

Long-Term Supply Chain Management:

  • Oversee monthly supply chain/pipeline between suppliers and customers via MRP systems

  • Ensure accuracy in pricing, part numbers, quantities, and other T&Cs to avoid entry errors

Credit Management:

  • Manage credit between customers and suppliers, including invoicing, RMAs, inventory costs, and ship-and-debit processes

Line Down Management:

  • Secure minimum supply quantities during line-down situations

  • Gather customer production information, including inventory and minimum production usage

Account Setup:

  • Set up new accounts and coordinate all required credit applications for internal and external setup

Process Management:

  • Ensure accurate supply chain processes using MRP, ERP, web portals, EDI, and email

Communication and Reporting:

  • Accurately interpret and respond to manager requests

  • Provide timely reports and updates on action items, data input, daily activities, goals, issues, and solutions

  • Organize backup support during absences

Customer and Supplier Communication:

  • Monitor and control responses to customer requirements, including order fulfillment, expediting, changes, cancellations, and other business needs

RFQ and Pricing Negotiation:

  • Process RFQs, negotiate costs and resale prices, and manage part numbers and account setups

  • Explain gross profitability and negotiate pricing for new designs and cost reduction processes

  • Create organized spreadsheets for tracking customer names, part numbers, current costs/resale prices, GP%, proposed future costs, and cost-down structures

Quality Operations:

  • Manage PCNs from suppliers and communicate with customers

  • Coordinate pre- and post-PCN supply chain management, including IPP tag operations

Other Duties:

  • May be required to work overtime based on customer/supplier needs

Job requirements

Required Experience:

  • 3-5 years in a similar position

  • Experience in the semiconductor industry

  • Understanding of semiconductor demand/supply cycles

  • Experience with contract renewal/expiration or any activities that include creating new contracts, negotiating terms, securing approvals, executing agreements, monitoring contract performance and ensuring ongoing compliance

  • Experience with both Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) and Quality, Cost, Delivery, Development (QCDD)

  • Proficiency in Excel (formulas, formats, pivot tables), Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with MRP, ERP systems, web portals, EDI, and email

  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, AS400, or QuickBooks

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English required, Japanese communication skills are a plus)

  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills


Compensation:

$75K - $80K per year + variable component
