Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Pro-AV and Broadcast Business Development Director to lead growth efforts and expand our partnerships within the Pro-AV and Broadcast sectors. This role demands a confident communicator and persuasive executive presence, capable of engaging with senior leadership and C-level stakeholders both internally and externally. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, thrives under pressure, and brings a strategic, sales-first mindset with the hunger to drive aggressive revenue targets and close high-value deals. The primary responsibility will be to close business in North America, with additional support for Europe and South America.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Drive business growth in the Pro-AV and Broadcast sectors within North America and beyond.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to achieve sales results and profitability objectives.
Act as a trusted advisor and influential voice at the table with executive leadership, partners, and customers—translating technical capabilities into strategic business value.
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
Work closely with the VP BD & Sales, VP Engineering, Director of Supplier and Solutions Management, and Product Management to align business development strategies with overall company goals.
Collaborate with regional sales teams in Europe and South America to drive product sales and revenue recognition
Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering and marketing, to support business development initiatives.
Grow and manage relationships with key partners in the Pro-AV and Broadcast industry
Work with Supplier and Solutions Management division to support the development and transition process
Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities and progress.
Analyze sales data and market feedback to refine strategies and improve performance
Stay updated on the latest industry standards (including ST 2110 and IPMX) and best practices to maintain high-quality deliverables.
Provide technical guidance and support to clients and partners regarding Pro-AV and Broadcast solutions, with a focus on promoting Macnica product offerings.
Job requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proven experience in business development, preferably in the Pro-AV and Broadcast sectors.
Strong understanding of the Pro-AV and Broadcast markets and technologies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel as needed.
In-depth knowledge of industry standards related to Pro-AV and Broadcast.
Experience with IP-based video and audio transmission technologies.
Strong ability to negotiate contracts and close deals.
Proven capability to build and nurture long-term client relationships.
Ability to analyze market data, sales reports, and customer insights to make informed decisions.
Resilient under pressure with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
Developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue and market share.
Preparing and delivering compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
